Today was educational.
I was…um…invited to a product release meeting for a major hardware company today. And, since I received a stipend, I am not allowed to talk about any specifics.
However, afterward there was a focus group. And it was this that was was most illuminating. You see, I thought I knew what a small business was. However, my idea of a small business is completely different than this company’s idea of what a small business is. In the focus group there were several other companies repersented. And the IT budgets for those other companies ranged from $2,000,000-$20,000,000. Not net profit….IT budget.
And the device itself? The starting price was almost $8,000 and went up from there.
At that price, how could you not order three?
